Brooks Koepka look-a-like Brett Montsion - scratch-ish golfer and former pro hockey referee joins the show. He’s played in the Manitoba Amateur as well as numerous Club Championships at Glendale. He joins us from his new hometown of Ottawa. We also have a special guest appearance from former international pro hockey player and damn good golfer Dale Hall.
Monstion shares his failures at the Manitoba Amateur, success at Rideau View Golf Club just outside of Ottawa, junior hockey, officiating in the W, ECHL, AHL, and heading to NHL camp including an eye-opening revelation about officials in the NHL. Some great stories involving Lebron James’ personal suite in Cleveland, being on the ice with Connor McDavid, caddying for Dale Hall in Manitoba Amateur qualifying, and how he got to be a patron at The Masters. We welcome back Sandy Kurceba international trick shot artist and Head Professional at Lakeview Hecla Golf Course on beautiful Hecla Island just a couple hours north of Winnipeg. You can also catch him on the very first episode of 18 Over Par. He’s a former Aussie and Canadian tour player, former pro hockey player, and current PGA of Canada pro. We take a trip to Golftec Winnipeg where we meet up with Colwyn Abgrall PGA of Canada Professional. Before getting his card he blew through the competition in the amateur ranks. In 2019 he won the Manitoba Amateur and Manitoba Golfer of the Year. In that same year he participated in the U.S. Amateur at one of the mecca’s of golf – Pinehurst No. 2 & No. 4. He also won the 2017 MB Match Play Championship. He currently is a certified personal coach at Golftec Winnipeg on Pembina Highway.
He fills you in on all the tech at Golftec and how it will help your game as well as all his amateur wins. Plus, a little southern hospitality from his U.S. Amateur adventure. He also breaks down Mike & JR's swing and passes along tips to lower your scores.

Today we’re joined by Bailey Coulis (Esopenko) who is the daughter of legendary Manitoba Pro Dale Esopenko and legendary ICU nurse Kim Esopenko. Bailey grew up at Assiniboine Golf Course before moving to St. Charles where she developed the on course and business expertise carrying her to Kenora Golf and Country Club where you can find her today.
She shares stories about growing up at The Bone, beating the boys, catching a guy cheating during the PGA of Canada Player Ability Test (PAT), life in Kenora, fishing, and her obsession with JR’s red hat.

Today we’re joined by Ryan Bell golf and golf accessory aficionado. He loves golf and golf loves him. He regular gets hit over the head and spends big to buy the latest and greatest golf technology. He was also one of the first gents to test out the TaylorMade Sim 2 driver in the province...which he damn near broke. You can find him at Glendale Golf and Country Club.
He reflects on hitting the same lady twice with a golf ball, fishing for sturgeon in B.C., golf lessons, golf tech, owning two race horses, and betting on sports.

He won the 2010 Manitoba Amateur Championship, he’s a three-time Manitoba Match Play Champion, and has represented the province for years on a national level. He shares stories about playing in the same field as Adam Hadwin, Corey Conners, Graham DeLaet, and Mackenzie Hughes. Today we’re joined by avid golfer and former junior hockey player Sean Skene. His obsession with the game of golf has taken him on solo trips to warm destinations all for the love of the game. When he’s not on the golf course we’re not 100% sure what he does, but he tells us he’s a stunt man, Movie film director, producer, actor, and arm chair Winnipeg Jets GM/Coach.
He shares stories about “strip golf” at Assiniboine Golf Club, his crusty golf sheet, multiple warranty expeditions to Golf Town, the local film industry, Winnipeg Jets hockey, and numerous things that grind his gears. Buckle up...this one’s a doozy.

Today we’re joined by three-time club champion Luke Valgardson. He won the 13 & under, 17 & under, as well as the Royal Assiniboine Men’s Club Championship. He’s played in multiple pro-ams, Manitoba Amateur Championships, and rarely misses a men’s night.
He shares stories about Club Championship weekend, losing 5 years in a row to the same guy, smoking meat, sleeping in tents to make your Championship tee time, and working with Dale Esopenko at Assiniboine Golf Club.

Matt "Big Sexy" Levins and Blair "Heart of Heritage Victoria" Mooney join the show and share stories about growing up in St. James, playing hockey and golf, drinking booze, junior hockey fights, and coaching the St. James Canucks of the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League.
The Hecla Champagne Championship is an annual golf event at the beautiful Lakeview Hecla Island Resort just a couple hours north of Winnipeg.
Matt “Big Sexy” Levins may be the most improved player on the muni tour this summer. Blair “Heart of Heritage Victoria” Mooney you can find playing the Pro-Am Circuit and the occasional Mundie Putter. He also holds the lifetime record for putts that have lipped out.
